Alicia Hefty, Grants Specialist
Independence for the Blind of West Florida is a non-profit organization that works with blind and visually impaired individuals in ten counties in Northwest Florida. Our mission is to teach independent living skills, computer and adaptive technology, and to provide vocational training and employment related services to people who are visually impaired so they can acheive maximum independence. If you are interested in our services, you can contact the Florida Division of Blind Services at 850-595-5282 or our office at 477-2663. All of our clients are referred to us from the Division of Blind Services and can participate in one of the following programs: Early Intervention, Children's Program, Transition Program, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Independent Living Adult Program. All clients receive instruction and services free of charge, which is why donations are greatly needed and appreciated.
